Are you an engaged Enloe student who wants to be an ambassador for the school? Become a student rep for the PTSA Board for the 2025-26 school year.
You'll attend (mostly virtual) monthly PTSA Board meetings, bring student concerns to the Board, share out upcoming PTSA events with fellow students, and volunteer at PTSA events when you're available, including joining virtual coffee chats with incoming families to help answer all their Enloe questions.
We're looking for a couple students from each class (rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors). If you're interested or have questions, email studentsupport@enloeptsa.com from your school email and include your name, grade in the upcoming school year, and what activities you're involved in at Enloe.
Parents, feel free to share this opportunity with your students, but we will only accept and respond to emails from students, not parents. Thanks!
Last request this school year for snacks for the Enloe Food Pantry! This is a quick and easy way to donate to your Enloe Eagles family. Students in need have appreciated being able to stop by the Enloe Food Pantry for a snack when they are hungry. Click here to order via Amazon and have it delivered right to the school! Or you can drop off with Ms. Gullatt at Student Services if you prefer. Thank you for keeping all our Enloe students well fed during the school day.
Become informed about the HB 636. The bill duplicates and broadens the standards already in place for schools per Policy Code: 3200 Selection of Instructional Materials. It requires a new community and staff review board, an audit of all materials already selected by professional librarians under current Wake policies, and creation of a new online database.
Any resident of the county can challenge a book and sue the school for damages if they feel their challenge has not been adequately addressed. This bill comes with no funding to support this new bureaucracy and will add an extra burden to our staff and school system. If this concerns you, please contact your legislators! Thank you to all who attended Enloe’s Advocacy for All event with Lynn Edmonds of Public Schools First NC. We had almost sixty people sign up and learned so much! Lynn will be sharing her slides for an upcoming newsletter.
Meanwhile, congratulations to raffle winners Daisy Clemmons, Ruby Presnall, and Sarah Luddy. These lucky attendees get a free copy of The Education Wars: A Citizen’s Guide and Defense Manual. The book will be available starting April 21 at the Enloe front office.
We encourage to exercise you right to vote. If you are 18 on or before Election Day (11/5), you can still register. Find out more: NC State Board of Elections
